I'm happy to introduce you to Matilda. She is a very pretty and petite bear at just 8.5 inches from her paw pad to the tip of her ear. She is made from a very pale blush pink viscose fabric and is filled with premium polyfil and a little steel shot sealed in a sealed pouch to give her a nice weight. She has alacantara ultrasuede paw pads in a pale stone colour which have been lightly defined with a little hand shading and stitched claws in the same stone shade. She is 5-way cotter-pin jointed (Her neck has a wobble joint) and she sees the world through English black glass eyes which are accentuated too by a little hand shading to give her a little feminine appeal!

She has also had a little needle and scissor sculpting to help shape her face. Her nose and mouth are hand stitched with dark brown perle cotton, again with a little shading. I wanted to give Matilda some vintage charm and therefore made her a little headband using vintage lace, embellished with a small blush pink satin bow and rose with some faux pearls. I also made her a little matching vintage lace ruff with another little satin rose at the back. Both these items are non-removable.

I've also given her a vintage gold tone brooch with pale pink porcelain roses and seed pearls as this gives her that all important finishing touch :-) The brooch (antique shop bought)is suspended around her neck by an invisible thread so it is worn more like a necklace as I didn't want to put the brooch pin through her fabric!

She has been entirely lined with cotton lining and all her seams have been fray checked. All my bears are 100% hand stitched with double nylbond thread to make sure they are strong and durable. Matilda is NOT suitable for children due to small components. She comes with her certificate of authenticity/Artist hang tag and is One of a Kind.
