I am very glad to see you here. My name is Larisa Koh. I live and create charming cuties, Teddy Bears, in the beautiful city of Tallinn!Art has long had a place in my life… In 1989 I was a singer in a folk group that had performed at the civil wedding ceremonies in Omsk, where I was born. Every New Year I was a Snow Maiden helping Santa to visit children.
Later, when I moved to Tallinn I have studied painting and design. As a mother of three kids I believe that mom is the best nanny. So I spent a long time sitting at home with my lovely kids. But I haven’t been just sitting at home. I always sew something – clothes, ball dresses, children’s carnival costumes, various dolls and toys. My daughter is 16 years old now and she still keeps my very first toy that I have made for her 1st Birthday. That Bunny was her favorite company during the sleep.
A bit later I was working as children’s party organizer. I wrote scripts, directed the presentation, games, made costumes.
A fairy tale never ended in my life.
My fascination with Teddy Bears happened a few years ago. I have searched all over the internet for any information. I even made a few Teddy Bears without any technique rules … Then a dead end! Dissatisfaction prompted me to take a desperate step at that time. I decided to go to Moscow and to study there by very famous Jemma Kadzh. And I became a Jemma`s student! I was then just in love with her works and attitude to Teddy Bears. And she gave that Teddy Bear love to me. Bears have become an important part of my life! In October 2010 I have been participating in the 6th International Doll Salon in Moscow for the first time
Later I was lucky to participate in many international exhibitions around the world!The popularity of Teddy Bear is growing very fast in Tallinn and now my students are creating new cuties.
I teach people with a great pleasure! I wish everyone could try themselves in this craft.
I am planning to participate in many fairs and exhibitions all over the world with other talented Teddy Bear and Doll artists and collectors.
In 2012 and 2013 I have organized beautiful exhibition Art Teddy Planet in Tallinn.We had guest from 14 countries!
