I'm very pleased with my latest bear 'Matilda'. She has a very lovely wistful, almost sad expression, she just wants to be picked up and hugged!
Matilda is made from a lovely soft pale pink wavy Schulte mohair, and wears a lovely antique/vintage silk baby dress.
She is 15.5 inches high, and is fully cotter pin jointed, with a slightly wobbly head. I have loosened the joints slightly, to add to her old feel.
She is quite lightly stuffed with polyfibre, with some steel shot in her feet and ankles, and steel balls and poly pellet in her tummy for weight.
She has English black glass eyes, an embroidered and waxed nose, and is carefully airbrush shaded to bring out her character.
Her little dress is ivory silk, and has a pretty broiderie anglais panel on the front.
She wears a simple ribbon on her ear.
Matilda is a very lovely bear, and is one of a kind.
