This friendly tortoise is called ‘Gilbert’.

Gilbert is approx. 6.7 inches (17 cm) tall in sitting position and approx. 9 inches (23cm) in standing position.

Gilbert is made from a nice thick, grey, crocodile look, skai leather. (Fake leather!)
He is sewn by hand with a lot of love and attention for detail. To create the expression and wringles in his skin I used a needle sculpting technic.

He is filled with synthetic filling and some granulate (steel shot) give him a nice weight.
Gilbert has two brown/green, acrylic eyes. The shield on his back is 100% handmade and sown by hand. The shield on his belly as well. Every detail in the shield is sewn in by hand.
His nails are hand sculpted with apoxy.

Gilbert is 5 way jointed. This means his head, arms and legs are poseable. Duo to the weight of his shield, Gilbert needs a small stand to support his weigth. This makes it possible for him to stand on his own.

Gilbert has an original ‘Mellisea Creation’ tag. He will also come with an certificate of authenticity to assure you from an original ‘Mellisea Creations’ creation.

Note: Gilbert is not a toy. He is meant for collectors and not suitable for children.
