“Christmas at the South Pole” is a pin cushion shaped and stitched like an igloo in white mohair. It has a felt base and on top there is a white faux fur Christmas tree decorated with pearly beads. The front door is a string of “fairy lights” , a pearly bead door handle and a chenille and silk wreath.The wee chap on top is a rockhopper penguin made with cashmere velvet. His head is jointed and his wings can move as they are wired. He is stitched on. He has red bead eyes and real feather plumes.
