William is a lovely, old looking bear, who is about 10.25" tall, but will not stand as he has double cotter pin jointed limbs and head, for an old, loose feel.
Seated he is about 8.25" high, and loves to sit and read his book about a bear with a similar name to him - he insists that he takes his book to his new home - who am I to argue?
He is made from a sparse, wheat coloured mohair which has been shaved, plucked and hand and airbrush painted to give an aged look - he also has visible 'mend' stitches and patches.
He has a lovely, snuggly scarf made from scraps of yarn which is slightly too long for him... but all the bests scarves are, right?

William has genuine boot button eyes, embroidered features, and is filled with poly- fibre filling, more softly than my usual style, for a soft, slouch look. He has a small amount of steel shot in his feet, and steel shot and poly pellets in his tummy for added weight.

William is completely and carefully hand stitched and aged, and is looking forward to travelling to his new home with his vintage reading book 'Willy Bear'.
