Hello my name is Laurie.I have been making bears for over 14 years now and trade under the name of Laurie Lou Bears.I have now settled with a couple of styles my favourite being traditional bears and miniatures.I really love making bears and always use quality materials and nearly always use schulte mohair.My bears have gone all over the world .I hand sew all my bears and like to think that they will last a long time so quality is very important to me.I was pleased to have won 3rd place in category one for miniatures in the 2010 British Bear Artist Awards.I also have won 3 awards in the 2011 British Bear Artist Awards.Rufus a 16 inch traditional bear won 3rd place in category 4 for medium sized classic style.Barnaby a 4.25 inch miniature bear won 2nd place in category 1 for undressed miniatures.Norma a 5 inch elephant won 3rd place in category 9 for furry friends.
