This is EMMA, and she was nominated for a Golden Teddy award in the small, undressed category.

She is dressed in one of my many vintage doll dresses. This one is probably not as old as some of my others, because it is permanent press. It looks like a handmade dress, and is beautifully done with a ruffle around the neck and ric rac trim on the bodice and on the skirt. The dress fastens down the back with snaps. I placed a simple blue bow on her head to give her that real girlie look.

The bear is made out of a batik Schulte kid mohair in gold and darker gold shades. The color variations are very subtle and the fur is very soft. I have done extensive scissor and needle sculpting to her face and have added some color to bring out her features. She has hand blown glass eyes, to which I have added eyelids. I added a double eyelid on the bottom, which gives her a wonderful, expressive look. Her nose is hand embroidered with pearl cotton.

The bear is about 13-1/2" standing (which she does not do by herself) and 9-1/2" sitting. She is five way jointed with hard board disks, locks nuts and a cotter pin in her neck. She has a pouch of copper BB�s in her belly for some added weight. She has wool felt paw pads, which have been sculpted and shaded. I have also wired her arms so she has more pose-ability.

My soft sculptures are adult collectibles and not suitable for small children and are made with the finest materials and are designed and completely hand made by me. All of my creations are one-of-a-kind and take me several days to complete, as I am meticulous in my construction and detail. I will not offer any soft sculpture for sale until I am completely happy with it.
