For those of you who like small bears, I generally do not do very many of them. I was cleaning out my bear room one day and discovered the beginnings of this little girl. I do not know when I cut her out and sewed her, but there she was waiting to be completed. Since she is one of my smaller bears (I only make one a little smaller than this and really admire those artists who can make those miniature bears), I gave her a simple purple satin ribbon.

The bear is made out of a dusty lavender Schulte mohair. I have scissor and needle sculpted her face and have added some color to bring out her features. She has hand blown glass eyes, and her nose is hand embroidered with pearl cotton.

The bear is about 8" standing (which she does not do by herself) and 5-1/2" sitting. She is five way jointed with hard board disks, locks nuts and a cotter pin in her neck. She has a pouch of copper BB�s in her belly for some added weight. She has ultrasuede paw pads, which have been sculpted and shaded. As with all my creations, she does not have a name. Since she is being adopted, it is up to her new mother or father to give her a name they deem appropriate.

My soft sculptures are adult collectibles and not suitable for small children and are made with the finest materials and are designed and completely hand made by me. All of my creations are one-of-a-kind and take me several days to complete, as I am meticulous in my construction and detail. I will not offer any soft sculpture for sale until I am completely happy with it.
