Hello everyone,
today I want to introduce the Ethiopian wolf.
The Ethiopian wolf (Canis simensis), also called the red jackal, the Simien jackal or Simien fox, is a canine native to the Ethiopian Highlands. In southeastern Ethiopia, it is also known as the horse jackal.
The species's current range is limited to seven isolated mountain ranges at altitudes of 3,000–4,500 m, with the overall adult population estimated at 360–440 individuals in 2011, more than half of them in the Bale Mountains.
The Ethiopian wolf is listed as endangered by the IUCN, on account of its small numbers and fragmented range.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of this toy will be donated to WWF for the conservation of rare animal species.
The toy is completely made of artificial fur, inside there is a movable skeleton, thanks to which it can take realistic poses. The nose and pads of the paws are made of silicone. Claws are made of baked plastic. Eyes made of glass. Wool + sintepon is used as stuffing.
The toy has a size of 64cm without the tail.
It is painted with oil paints.
There is no smell of paint.
Leaves no traces of paint on the hands.
