Beneath the creaky floorboards of Grandpa Beny's humble home, dwelled a tiny rat named Augustus. Amidst the shadows and dust, he found his haven, sustained by the crumbs and morsels that found their way to the kitchen table each evening.

As dusk settled and the aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air, Augustus emerged from his hiding place to partake in his nightly feast. The soft, warm crumbs of Grandpa Beny's delicious treats became his sustenance, a small but cherished bounty.

Grandpa Beny, a kind-hearted Jewish man, knew of the small resident beneath his feet. With compassion in his heart, he would leave behind not just scraps of bread, but also pieces of cookies, pastries, and even slivers of cheese on special occasions, knowing they brought comfort to Augustus.

In the quiet moments of the night, as Augustus savored his meal, he felt a deep sense of gratitude towards the generous old man above. Despite their differences in size and species, a bond of empathy and care united them, transcending barriers.

And so, beneath the shelter of Grandpa Beny's home, Augustus thrived, nourished not only by the crumbs of bread but also by the kindness and understanding of the gentle soul who lived above.
