This work “Symbionts” was created for the Ursa Major 2023 competition of the annual exhibition Teddy Bear with Doll (Ekaterinburg. Russia). Symbiosis is a widespread phenomenon in nature and is beneficial mutual assistance of living organisms of different species. In my work, chanterelles live inside and on the surface of a fantasy wolf-fox, and their common home is a mutant mushroom. A competition is always an opportunity to experiment on a given topic with materials and techniques. Initially, I planned to create a complex structure, use a variety of materials, connecting them with each other. To create the creature I’ve used 2 types of Soviet plush, mohair, handmade glass eyes, and wire. Sawdust stuffing. To create a large mushroom, a wire frame, vintage Soviet plush, satin, and glass beads were used. Solid pine stand. The height of the mushroom is 34 cm. The fantasy creature is 33 cm in full height, only sitting.
