The comet moth or Madagascan moon moth (Argema mittrei) is a moth native to the rain forests of Madagascar, one of the largest silk moths in the world.

Size: wingspan 4.7" (12 cm), length from head to tail tip 5.1" (13 cm).
The realistic moth is made of polymer clay. It was created entirely by hand with high degree of detail. The legs, antennae and wings of the toy have wire frame and can be set in different positions. There is a magnet inside the body, so the moth can be used as a brooch with an additional external magnet or attached to a metal surface. Tinted with acrylic paints. Covered with flock.
Materials: polymer clay, wire, magnets, thread, flock.

The moth was born in a non-smoking home.
