"THEODORE" is named after "President Theodore Teddy Roosevelt" whom the very first teddy bear was created in honour for, back in 1902.

This is the fourth in the "25th Anniversary Special Collectors Edition 1998-2023" of collectable artist bears, by award winning Master Bear Artist: Katrina Beveridge.

This gorgeous collectable artist bear stands at 35cm. His body is fully hand-stitched in a hand-dyed soft yellow sorbet coloured mohair.
Theodore is filled with A-grade wool and glass beads for a weighted feel.
He has black glass eyes with hand painted ultra suede whites, and a big black traditionally hand stitched nose & cheeky smile to match.
Several shading techniques have been used on this bear around his face, body & paw pads.
His muzzle has been trimmed with extensive needle sculpture used to shape his face.
Theodore is 6 way disc, locknut & bolt jointed, having the extra neck joint which makes him more poseable, being able not only to look side to side, but also up & down positions.
He comes wearing his hand painted pottery name tag which adorns his neck, that details the 25th Anniversary Collectors Edition 1998-2023 on the front, with his series number, edition number, date completed and artists signature on the back.
A "BUMBLE BEARS 25th Anniversary" tag is stitched into his leg for authenticity, as well as a "NUMBER 1" tag stitched onto his right foot pad. (Only the number 1 bear in each series is actually numbered on the foot, though they all will have the tag).
Theodore is accompanied with several keepsake items to celebrate the "25th Anniversary" of Bumble Bears. Such as a solid Brass Bumble Bee, a beautiful Brass pill box, which has the "25th Anniversary Special collectors edition 1998-2023" engraved inside the lid, & a Bumble Bee on the front. A large Bumble Bears canvas black and cream coloured tote bag, a small wire brush for grooming, and a signed copy of "Teddy Bear times & friends" magazine, featuring "Bumble Bears 25th Anniversary" inside. The issue will be published in September to coincide with the 25th Anniversary finish. As this is not currently available at the time of this auction, I will post out to the winner at the time of publication.
A special "25th Anniversary, Certificate of Authenticity" is also supplied, along with a Brass Bumble Bee button stitched into the back of this gorgeous character bear.
To top all of this off, all of these items will arrive in a Bumble Bears "25th collectors edition" keepsake box with a magnetic closure. This features individual series number and edition number inside the lid, with a "created with love♡" logo on the front for display purposes.
