A unique creation of its kind whose name is Eostra (Ostera), the goddess of spring and fertility.
The ancient Germans, who were still pagans in those days, honored the goddess Oster. On the days of the spring equinox, a holiday was held in her honor. The rabbit was an assistant to the goddess - as a symbol of fertility and fertility. The egg, on the other hand, has life within itself and was considered by the pagans to be the basis of the life cycle.
The ancient Germans had a legend according to which Oster found a wounded bird in the snow and, in order to save her life, turned it into a hare. The bird became a hare, but did not lose the ability to lay eggs. Since then, the hare decorates these eggs and gives them to Oster on the day of the arrival of spring.
The color scheme is inspired and played with the first spring streams, flowers and sunshine, and the purple color for the egg was not chosen by chance, because it is a symbol of the unity of opposites that I managed to embody in this work of art.
MATERIALS:The artistic composition consists of two parts, a one-of-a-kind art doll and a stand for it in the form of a nest.
The doll (face and egg base) is made of self-hardening clay, painted with dry pastels, watercolors, acrylics and varnished with UV protection. The decor on the doll is vintage lace hand-dyed with pearl effect acrylic. Each element is hand-decorated with Czech beads, glass beads, decorative flowers, sequins. The base is made of mesh, which is decorated with Swarovski crystals and gold leaf. The wings and hat (hare) are made of white textile, decorated with vintage lace, which is painted with mother-of-pearl acrylic, and also filled with many decorative elements.
The nest stand is made of artificial and natural wood, decorated with flowers, a bow and other decorative elements.
SIZE:Composition size: height 18 cm / 7.08 inches (from the bottom of the nest to the tips of the ears) width (at the extreme points of the nest) 14 cm / 5.51 inches.
Doll size: Height (at the extreme points from the bottom to the end of the ears) 16 cm / 6.29 inches, width (at the level of the wings) 11 cm / 4.33 inches.
IMPORTANT: Although I use reasonably sturdy materials for my art creations, they must be treated with caution. Be gentle, and they will serve you for a long time.
