The small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) is a colorful Eurasian butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. Adults feed on nectar and may hibernate over winter.

Size: wingspan 2" (5 cm), body length 0.9" (2.2 cm).
The realistic butterfly is made of polymer clay. It was created entirely by hand with high degree of detail. The legs, antennae and wings of the toy have wire frame and can be set in different positions. There is a tiny magnet inside the body, so the butterfly can be used as a brooch with an additional external magnet or attached to a metal surface. Tinted with pastel and acrylic paints.
Materials: polymer clay, wire, magnets.

The butterfly was born in a non-smoking home.
