The Luna moth (Actias luna) also known as the American moon moth is a Nearctic moth in the family Saturniidae, subfamily Saturniinae, a group commonly known as giant silk moths.

Size: wingspan 4.3" (11 cm), length from head to tail tip 3.1" (8 cm).
The realistic moth is made of polymer clay. It was created entirely by hand with high degree of detail. The legs, antennae and wings of the toy have wire frame and can be set in different positions. There is a magnet inside the body, so the moth can be used as a brooch with an additional external magnet or attached to a metal surface. Tinted with pastel and acrylic paints. Covered with flock. The luminescent powder allows the moth to glow in the dark after charging in daylight or under a lamp.
Materials: polymer clay, wire, magnets, luminescent powder, thread, flock.

The moth was born in a non-smoking home.
