The puppy is made of faux fur, pleasant to the touch.

Inside the puppy is a Lock Line skeleton (back, legs and tail) - Barley can stand, sit and lie down.
The puppy has glassy eyes.
The puppy's ears are reinforced with wire.
Paw pads, claws and nose are made of polymer clay.
Barley has eyelashes, and this makes his look very touching and alive.
