Introducing Alcedo the hand painted belly, mohair artist bear. “Alcedo” is the Latin name for kingfisher.
Alcedo is a traditional bear with a twist!
He is a fully five way cotter pin jointed bear and I have hand painted a portrait of a kingfisher bird on the front of his tummy! The painting is created using the best quality paints, meticulously hand painted in layers and then fully sealed.
He measures 14 inches high and is sewn from a beautiful luxury duck egg blue coloured slightly curly mohair fabric. His body is stuffed with poly fibre and he is weighed with steel pellets for a nice feel.
I have hand painted his orange and blue glass eyes and edged them with black leather cord eyelids to match his hand embroidered stripy nose and fur colour. His paw pads and footpads are also hand painted with foliage detail to match his tummy. He has a lovely matching bow with flower detail and a foliage and berry embellishment on his head .
An original painting and bear combined, a lovely unique bear!

Alcedo will come to his new home beautifully gift wrapped, with his Hayley Walker original design hang tag, sewn in label and certificate of authenticity.

Each bear / animal will come to their new home securely packed and nicely presented. They are all made in a completely smoke free environment / studio. All shipping includes tracking and insurance.

Return and Refund Policy
I really hope you love your new critter, but if for any reason you are unhappy, please let me know by emailing me and I will do my very best to help you. The bear must be returned in original condition and carefully packed via an insured and tracked delivery service. A refund will then be given within 14 days of me receiving the returned item. Refunds do not include return delivery charges.
