Gubach bear (Melursus ursinus) lives on the island of Sri Lanka and on the Hindustan Peninsula, preferring to settle in dry forests, as well as on rocky, hilly areas near the Himalayas.

Habitat: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
Despite the fact that the gubach bear belongs to the bear family, it looks very peculiar and in many ways differs from its clubfoot relatives. Thanks to tenacious claws long up to 12 cm, it is sometimes called a sloth. The weight of the male is about 100 kg, which is one third more than the weight of the female. Despite the fact that the beast does not differ in impressive size, it is quite large. Its height at the withers is slightly less than a meter, and the body length is slightly less than 2 meters. For all its impressive size, the gubach differs in a relatively tiny tail of up to 10 cm.

My bear was made as a portrait from the photo and sewn from high-quality synthetic fur, its height is 53-55 cm. His head is filled with flour, his body and legs are reinforced with a skeleton, which can assume different positions, the eyes are hand-painted (mine), the nose is made of self-hardening material and claws from FIMO. Paw pads are made of leather.
