Fahad the lion.
The piece was made of thick and silky fur with natural sheep wool usage. The body is reinforced with a flexible framework skeleton whereby the sculpture is able to change its position and take different poses. The presence of the skeleton adds extra flexibility and realism.
Internal stuffing — mixture of hollowfiber and natural wool.
Ears and tail are also based on a framework and able to change their position.
Claws — polymeric clay. Paw pads and nose — natural suede.
The mane is framed with a fixative mixture, whereby strands won't need additional combing and fixating in future.
Tone work was made with acrylics and dry pastel, recreating the natural color of lion.
Length — 37.5 inces (95 cm excluding the tail)
Height — 32 inches (80 cm)
Weight — 8.6 lb (3.8 kg)
