Meet the lovely spirit bear Huxley! Spirit or Kermode bears are a rare colouration of the black bear, a marvel of nature. This big guy is made from super soft German Schulte faux fur. His body has a full internal skeleton, with a loc line spine, strong wire and 4 specially made disk joints in his limbs. He has a full set of polymer clay claws, wired in, and joined to armature, each one can be individually moved. His squashy pads are hand sewn from leather, stuffed and pulled. He has extensive needle and scissor sculpting to her head, and layers of many colours of ink to tone his face. His beautiful big nose finishes his look, it’s hand sculpted directly onto his nose from poxy clay, on a needle felted base. Even his ears have a thin wire armature, this makes him wonderfully poseable, able to move in lots of ways, and lots of expressions. He has a lovely weight to him, filled with soft petllets, heavy and soft filling where needed.
