"Kina" is a whale chaser!
He likes to sit at the front of the boat so that he doesn't miss anything.

This series of sailor bears have been inspired by my holiday to New Zealand in the Marlborough Sounds on Arapawa Island. These bears have been stitched with love at this beautiful peaceful place.

'Kina' is also the Maori word for "Sea Urchin" which is the indigenous language of New Zealand.

Kina is a limited edition, collectable artist bear.
He is all hand stitched in a long sparse light caramel/mid brown coloured mohair. Kina has embroidered claws stitched above each foot and paw pads, which are made of ultra suede leather and have shading aged detail around each. The fur has been carefully plucked from the muzzle and tops of paw and foot pads for an aged/antiqued look. He is filled with A-grade wool and glass beads for added weight. This bear stands at 36cm or 14 1/2 inches tall. He does stand freely with a sombre look about him, & is 5 way lock nut and disc jointed.
Kina has extensive needle sculpturing to his nose area with a hand embroidered nose in a medium brown colour. His eyes are antiqued boot button, black hand blown glass, featuring little eye brows just above.
A hand painted terracotta name tag detailing edition number and date made, is attached to this sailor bears leg. He wears an aged, hand dyed sailor collar & jacket featuring a silver metal compass charm sewn upon his collar.There is also a "BUMBLE BEARS " tag stitched into his back for authenticity.
Limited edition of 12. A certificate of authentication also comes with this gorgeous bear.

Extensive pictures are provided of each bear with details before each purchase.
If there is a fault by the artist, then a refund would be offered, but only upon immediate delivery.
