BERGMOY© STORY

Come and meet the Bergmoys©, cute and intelligent creatures who live in the mysterious world of Bergmoymaa.

Not much is known about their way of life, but after crossing through the passage into our world, one of them wandered into my workshop and I was lucky enough to see him. This is what he told me:

The life of a Bergmoy starts high up in the Vida Tree. To begin with, they look like a raindrop. When the time comes, they fall to the ground and burst open – a Bergmoy is born!

Their kingdom consists of many different worlds. It is uncertain how many of these worlds exist, but the ones we know of are:

Sparkling Forest – a lush green paradise

Splash – dive right in!

Shining Snowflake – be sure to wrap up warm

Vol – up, up and away!

Shadow Pass – the dark side of the realm

Each world is ruled by a prince or princess. However, there is only one queen, Queen Lilou, who is loved by all her subjects. Hopefully, we will get the chance to meet her one day.

The Bergmoy© love to play around and eat, but what they to do more than anything else is sing. That’s right, our little friends love to sing to their hearts’ content! They live a lot longer than us, so their songs bring to life the memories of adventures past. Every year, once the harvest has been gathered, there is a big contest – a fun-filled week during which everybody sings and dances.

They love sports as well, especially the Gambo Derby. Throughout the winter, the Bergmoys build their vehicles in preparation for the big event, and visitors come from far and wide just to take part. Imagine hundreds of tiny creatures in their gambos, zooming down the slopes of a land teeming with never-before-seen plants and animals. Oh, the fun they must have!

After the race, there is an immense banquet with fruits, shoots and Bloubiboulmoy, the kingdom’s favourite dish; this yeast-leavened cake contains a variety of fruits, flowers, leaves, grains and spices. This feast is washed down with Kabeji, a beverage made of cabbage, honey and spices.

A long time ago, there was a passage that allowed these whimsical little creatures to cross into our world and live among us. Unfortunately, war and a lack of faith mean that the passage has almost closed entirely, so it is up to us to make sure that it never closes forever…
