5.9 inches (14.9 centimeters)
This is my little dragon called ‘Malic’.
Malic is approx. 5.9 inches (15 cm) tall in standing position. In sitting position he is approx. 5.1 inches (13 cm) tall.
Malic is made from a soft multi colored, long pile mini fabric. The fabric is hand dyed with makes every piece unique.
His snout, and eyelids are felted and his teeth and nails are sculpted from a strong polymer clay named Apoxie.
Malic is sewn by hand with a lot of love and attention for detail. He is filled with synthetic filling and granulate (steel shot) to give him a nice weight. Malic has big green acrylic eyes and is 5 way jointed, this means he can move his arms, legs and head.
Malic has an original ‘Mellisea Creation’ tag. He will also come with a certificate of authenticity to assure you from an original ‘Mellisea Creations’ creation.
Although Malic loves to be held and cuddled, he is not a toy. He is for a collector and not suitable for little children.
I try to take the pictures with the best color settings but the colors can always look slightly different in real.

My name is Melanie Meulenberg-Ansems, and I am an award-winning, self-taught soft-sculpture artist. I live in the most southern part of the Netherlands.
I started sculpting when I was just 9 years old. I worked with polymer clay (FIMO/ Cernit/ Super Sculpey) for more then 15 years until I got some unfortunate problems with my hands which made it hard for me to work with clay. Not able to sit still or do nothing I started making mini-crochets figurines. In 2009 I started my first attempt in sewing a soft-sculpture animal. I drew my own pattern and made my first dog handbag.
A little while later my first (smaller) soft-sculpture tiger called ‘Toby’ was born. Since them many more have been born.
I use several techniques and materials for my creations, like (felting) wool, fabric, mohair, faux fur and polymer clay. Not all of my creations are jointed, so please read the descriptions carefully. My creations are handmade and one of a kind. They are all made with lots of love, care and attention to detail. They will come with a tag and a certificate.
Unfortunately I can't keep all my little darlings to myself and I will have to put some of them up for adoption.
I hope you enjoy looking through my gallery and maybe you will find one of my darlings you would like to adopt and give a lovely home.
Thank you for your time!
