Thanks for stopping by to meet scruffy little swamp thing. You may look at him and think...💭... he wouldn't look to bad after a good brush. Don't be fooled, he hates to be groomed, in fact, by the time you've detangled a single limb.... the rest of him will be all tatty and matted.
What you see is what you get, he's a scruffy, matted, tatty looking stinky bog dwelling swamp thing.
Swampy has been created using a long pile Scruffy green synthetic fur. He has a lime green inset muzzle and a dark, rich green suede for his inner ears and needle sculpted toes and paws. I have shaded his suede features and hand applied the markings.
His innocent looking face has been carefully scissor sculpted, he has a chunky little waxed black thread nose and big black glass eyes. He has had colour added to his face in greens, lemon and pinks.
His twirled clay horns where hand crafted and painted in a purple sheen.
He's a heavy little fella, firmly filled with polyester and weighted with steel shot. He's fully jointed with a sewn in makers label in his back.
He sports a leather thread crossed over one arm and a hessian thread spiralled around the other. He has beads hanging from his ear hair and leafs on his head. His feather and red skeleton leaf will have to be removed if traveling to countries with restrictions.
Thanks for stopping by to meet swamp thing... I'm off now to catch him a fat tasty fly 😉
Hi, I'm Kim the creator of a bear by Kim.. I have been lucky enough to win a few awards including my most recent, a judges choice award in the excellence in bear artistry and and Winner of the category ..I create every bear to a very high standard, using the best quality materials I can find.I make every effort to ensure each bear is as perfect as It can be. I double stitch each one, I use extra strong threads and I have developed my own techniques to reinforce joints and seams so they can handle a good hug ;).
* Bears are packaged in a cardboard box filled with tissue paper.
I’ll only recycle / reuse bubble wraps or plastics that I have received in packaging as I’m making an effort to cut down on single use plastic consumption.
