Sweet Charlotte is made of mohair. She has glass eyes, a perle cotton nose and mouth, and she's filled with polyfil and securely encased glass pellets for added weight. Charlotte is fully jointed and has wool felt paw pads. She wears a vintage doll dress with a sewn on paper book illustration of two little girls.

I am clearing out my studio of lots bears who've been cut out for what seems like eons, sewing them up and deciding if I will continue with the pattern or not. This particular bear pattern has evolved over many years of reworking and tweaking, ear and eye placements, nose and eye sizes, limb shapes and sizes, etc. In one evolution, I was nominated for a Golden Teddy Award for the bear design. As much as I love this newest version of my original pattern, I am aware this evolution looks somewhat similar to another artists work now. Undoubtedly, I will be reworking this pattern yet again.
