Hi - My name is Sonja Obrynba and I created my first teddy bear in the summer of 2005.
One day I decided to try my own hand at making a teddy bear, after many years of collecting teddy bears from multiple artists and manufacturers. I just got hooked and is like an infectious bug that won't let me be (a good thing)! I really love making teddies.
I was fortunate enough to have one of my teddy bears listed as one of the 568 Bears in the "Teddy Bear Face Book" in the April 2007 Teddy Bears and Friends magazine.I attended one of Michelle Lamb's teddy bear making classes in Oct 2007 at the Teddy Bear and Friends 25th year celebration in Schaumburg, Il. I also took a class from Isabella Hoffman who designs teddies for Clemens Bears of Germany. I spend numerous hours and great care in making my bears to ensure they are very well crafted. It is exciting to complete each bear for each one possesses a unique personality. My passion is making the traditional style looking teddy bears. I live in the Ohio Valley with my husband, two cats, one horse and two Bernese Mountain Dogs. I love the outdoors, animals, family and of course teddy bears. I retired from the Air National Guard after 29 years of military service and look forward to making lots of teddy bears that bring enjoyment and smiles to my customers.
