I am a teddy artist and dollmaker from Estonia. I work in a museum and create whimsical amigurumi dolls in my spare time. I also love knit tiny sweaters and accessories for my bears and dolls.
I have been making things with my hands for more than 13 years. I started making teddy bears in 2016 and have fallen in love with dollmaking ever since. By now, my bears live in Japan, USA, France, UK, Estonia, Australia, Tasmania, etc.
My amigurumi are all one of a kind and special, mainly because of the design and materials I use. I take inspiration from traditional teddy bears and translate them to the world of amigurumi. I rarely use plain cotton yarn as most other crocheters and amigurumi artists do, as I love the feel and smell of wool. Most of my amigurumi are crocheted from local Estonian wool, or high quality merino-cotton blends. I mostly use KPC yarns which is an organic yarn brand (Oeko-tex Standard 100 certified). Secondly, most of my bears have high quality English glass eyes, traditionally used in mohair and viscose bears. I also use tea dyeing, painting with soft pastels and wet and/or needle felting to create an aged look to my bears and other animals.
Everything in this shop is designed and handmade by myself. I put a lot of love and effort in every piece I make.
