Hello and thank you for stopping by to meet Twinkle! A little larger than most of my bears, she is approx 8" overall, or about 6.5" seated. She is hand stitched from gorgeous Schulte ratinee mohair in shades of winter white and pale pink, rather like coconut ice I think! What makes this mohair special is the fine gold thread woven through it, giving it a subtle sparkle and twinkle in the light. It's so lovely and unique. I've combined the fur with a gorgeous golden leather for her pawpads for a festive glow.
Twinkle has five cotter pin and disc joints with a wobble head, and is filled with glass sand and pure wool, so she's a little hefty:) she has needle and scissor sculpted features, as well as a little pewter coloured airbrushing, and a waxed embroidered nose. Her eyes are deep amethyst English glass- the amethyst isn't immediately apparent, but it gives a lovely soft look to her gaze.
A special fur such as this needed special trimming- a bow of beautiful vintage metallic netting at her neck, and a beautiful handmade porcelain flower headpiece in co-ordinations colours add the finishing touches.
