Cortaderia Peacock a Capability Bear

'm very pleased to introduce you to, Cortaderia-Peacock, a very special bear who I feel is one of my greatest creations yet.
Her name, Cortaderia: from the beautiful Pampas grass that adorns the borders of Stately Home gardens to the sound of decorative Peacocks with who's feathers her coloured fur so vibrantly echoes.
This fur is so luxurious and changes shade with every glance or change of light. This is the 60mm varigated fawn peacock faux fur and has been a joy to model. This bear has to be one of the most beautiful and soft that I have worked with and I enjoyed every moment modeling her.
Cortaderia-Peacock has been a labour of love spanning several days. I really wanted to sculpt her carefully and really bring to life. Every part of her is created from new patterns designed to bring out something completely new.
Cortaderias' head has been carefully scissor sculpted over many hours and then gently shaded using acrylic paints to accent shadows and give her personality and life. She has 10mm English Black Glass eyes with ivory cashmere accents. Her nose has been hand embroidered and then shaded with subtle browns and golds and sealed with several layers of varnish which accentuate the colours beneath.
She is fully cotterpin jointed and filled with dense polyester filling for extra weight. When standing Cortaderia is approx 9 inches high. She has pretty old gold cashmere ear and foot pads, which have been subtly painted around the edges. She has an embroidered fabric Bears of Bath label sewn into her back.
Cortaderia-Peacock will arrived at her new home, carefully wrapped in a strong plastic box, with her Bears of Bath certificate of authenticity.

Bears of Bath is a member of the Guild of Master Bear Crafters
& a finalist of the British Bear Artist Awards 2007 and 2010.Bears of Bath has also appeared in Teddy Bear Times and also this edition of the Teddy Bear Annual 2011.
Bears of Bath has just been nominated for A British Bear Artists Award for 2011
Please note that this is a Collectors bear and is therefor not suitable for children under 14 years old .
