Introducing CHIN-CHIN an original design OOAK hand-sewn panda made from rich and luxurious dense pile black and white alpaca.
Chin-Chin’s striking German glass starburst eyes have been hand-painted by me in shades of sparkling green & blue and have been set in eyelids crafted from ultra suede in a neutral shade to compliment his fur. I have extensively needlesculpted his face to give him beguiling character, and spent a lot of time shading his face with copic markers and dry brushing with oil paints to add depth of colour. His nose has been embroidered in a slate grey coloured Perle cotton which has been lightly finished with a touch of gloss to give his nose a 'wet look'.
Chin-Chin is 5-way jointed with locknuts and cotter pins, and his ultrasuede paw pads have been hand sewn in a trapunto style and dry-brushed with oil paints to achieve a 3-D effect. Chin-Chin wears a red satin ribbon from which hangs an authentic jade and golden Chinese token.
Designed to sit at 6”, Chin-Chin is able to stand assisted and measures 8” standing. He is filled with polyfill with a little steel shot for extra weight in his tummy.
You will find that I am meticulous in my attention to detail, which is why my bears take a while to finish to my complete satisfaction. Like all Nikkel Bears, Chin-Chin has been made in a non-smoking environment and is intended as a collectable, not a child’s toy.
