SWEETHEART

Original OOAK designed and hand-sewn in the softest pale grey Shulte silky 10mm mohair, Sweetheart has been designed to sit at 7", but can stand assisted at 10".
I have hand-sewn Sweetheart's paws from matching ultrasuede in trapunto style, and her foot pads are shaped as hearts. To add colour, I have airbrushed with copic markers, and finished with oil paints to create a depth of colour in pink tones to add contrast to her fur.
I have hand-painted Sweeheart's custom German glass eyes in starburst style, using slate grey, white and black. Her eyes are set in soft grey/white ultrasuede eyelids and tiny little lashes frame her eyes for a real feminine touch. Her nose is embroidered from Perle cotton in a soft grey which has been highlighted with colour to match her paws.
Her face has been extensively needle and scissor sculpted to create her wistful, serene expression.
Filled with polyfill and a little steel shot in her tummy for a weighty, teddy feel, Sweetheart is 5-way jointed with a cotter pin neck and locknut limbs. Her arms are wired for posing.
Sweetheart wears a diamante bow on her head, and a vintage pink organza ribbon floats from around her neck, surrounded by vintage pink and black ribbon roses, accented with black sprays of beads. A jewelled pink butterfly perches on Sweetheart's front paw.
