4.5 inches (11½ centimeters)
Rahi, a little Elephant on a fixed wheel base.He stands from floor to top of his head at just 11.5cm and from head to tail 9.5cm.
His name in Hindu means 'Traveller' and hopefully he will soon be travelling to his adoptive home!
Rahi is sewn from grey viscose that I have distressed and aged to give him vintage character and appeal. He has black glass eyes, and his inner ears and foot pads are sewn from vintage linen. He stands on a wooden fixed wheel base. Rahi wears a back cloth sewn from orange/red material heavily embroidered with gold thread, this is lined in orange/red shot silk.On each corner hangs a brass toned bead.A small Orsetti name tag is attached to the back of Rahi and also on the back of his cloth.
Rahi has traditional kapok filling as used in earlier bear making.
OrsettiBears are unsuitable for children under 14 years of age.

Hello from Orsettibears and Ann
All little orsetti are hand sewn by myself with love and care, each one having his own individual character. I sew using only quality components and traditional bear making methods. I hand dye many of the fabrics I use ,either mohair, viscose, alpaca or leather. I enjoy shading and colouring my bears and other animals to give them a well loved/aged look!
I love creating the traditional mohair bears ,and dressing some in clothing made from genuine antique fabrics and lace. Equally I find fun in creating little characters in viscose fabric , elephants ,rabbits and any little creature who might inspire!
I create my little bears from my own patterns, but occasionally am inspired by another artists work .I will always credit these artist whos work I too appreciate.
All my little ones are cotter pin jointed and kapok filled.Steel shot is added to their bodies to give a little extra weight . They are not suitable for children under 14 years of age due to small metal parts , unless otherwise stated.
Art and creative pursuits have always been part of my life. Botanical art using coloured pencil is still very much an active pastime and alongside creating my little orsettibears and family I keep fully occupied!
Growing up in the beautiful English countryside there is plenty to stimulate my imagination ....wonderful flora and fauna at every turn!
orsettibear stand between 11cm and 16cm approximately.
All orsettibears are adventurous and happy to travel!
