3.6 inches (9.1 centimeters)
This little reindeer is called ‘Roland’. He is a nephew from Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
Roland is approx. 3.6 inches (9 cm) tall sitting from his hooves to the tip of his antlers.
Roland is made from a brown, long pile mini fabric with shiny hair tips.
He is sewn by hand with a lot of love and attention for detail. He is filled with synthetic filling and some granulate (steel shot) to give him a nice weight. Roland has two blue acrylic eyes. His nose red nose is sculpted and antlers and hooves are sculpted as well.
Roland is NOT jointed, this means he can NOT move his legs and head. This is done because I like to keep him in his current position because it looks best on him.
Roland has an original ‘Mellisea Creation’ tag. He will also come with a certificate of authenticity to assure you from an original ‘Mellisea Creations’ creation.
Although Roland loves to be held and cuddled, he is not a toy. He is for a collector and not suitable for little children.
I try to take the pictures with the best color settings but the colors can always look slightly different in real. Please read the description carefully.

My name is Melanie Meulenberg-Ansems, and I am an award-winning, self-taught soft-sculpture artist. I live in the most southern part of the Netherlands.
I started sculpting when I was just 9 years old. I worked with polymer clay (FIMO/ Cernit/ Super Sculpey) for more then 15 years until I got some unfortunate problems with my hands which made it hard for me to work with clay. Not able to sit still or do nothing I started making mini-crochets figurines. In 2009 I started my first attempt in sewing a soft-sculpture animal. I drew my own pattern and made my first dog handbag.
A little while later my first (smaller) soft-sculpture tiger called ‘Toby’ was born. Since them many more have been born.
I use several techniques and materials for my creations, like (felting) wool, fabric, mohair, faux fur and polymer clay. Not all of my creations are jointed, so please read the descriptions carefully. My creations are handmade and one of a kind. They are all made with lots of love, care and attention to detail. They will come with a tag and a certificate.
Unfortunately I can't keep all my little darlings to myself and I will have to put some of them up for adoption.
I hope you enjoy looking through my gallery and maybe you will find one of my darlings you would like to adopt and give a lovely home.
Thank you for your time!
