Artist Dragon, Kyandi Ryuu by Wayneston Bears

Kyandi Ryuu means "Candy Dragon" in Japanese. Kyandi Ryuu stands at approximately 8.5 inches tall and is born from hand-dyed mohair.

His face is needle and scissor sculpted, shaded and trimmed, giving him the signature Wayneston Bears look and feel. He has a wired open mouth with hand sculpted polymer clay teeth. His tongue and gum are needle sculpted on Ultra Suede.

Shadings have been to enhance his look. Kyandi Ryuu views the world with his German glass eyes. He has needle felted eye lids. He is 4-way jointed using hard board discs and hardwares at his limbs. He has wire armature on his head, neck, spine, limbs, wings and tail which allows him to pose.

Kyandi Ryuu also have hand sculpted polymer clay claws on his paws and feet. His paws and foot pads are needle sculpted.

He is filled with polyfill, crushed garnets and much love. Kyandi Ryuu wears a pendant around his neck and a Wayneston Bears suede label is sewn on his back.

A cute little Japanese candy comes along with him.

Hi, I'm Wayne Lim, a soft sculpture artist based in Singapore.

I started making teddy bears in 2009 and I named my creations as Wayneston Bears. I believe that the teddy bear is a piece of art which enables the mood of the artist to be portrayed at the time of its creation. Its symbolism of peace and happiness should be passed on to our love ones.

My creations have so far been adopted by collectors from Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, UK & USA. To know more about my creations, please contact me at:
