Bitsy is an experimental dragon that I made out of mohair rather than faux fur to see how the change in materials would affect the design. She measures 32 inches from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail and she stands approximately 6.5 inches from floor to shoulder. She has a lot more of a sculpted, shaped look about her I feel. She is fully jointed and has grey corner glass eyes, and a two-coloured embroidered nose. She is filled with a mixture of polyester and pellets. I have made her inner ears, wing linings and footpads from a toning velour, and her spines are made from felt. Her head and wings have had some tinting with a russet colour.

She got her name because she is made from a variety of different kinds of mohair. Bitsy seems to me to be a youngster who is just learning to find her way about by crawling. She hasn't yet learned to use her wings.
