Little Cara sits at approx 8.5cm/3.5" small, or about 11cm/4.5" overall, and is hand stitched from pale pink mohair with five cotter pin and disc joints. She is filled with pure wool and glass sand for weight, has wired arms, glass eyes and her little face is needle and scissor sculpted as well as lightly airbrushed.
Cara sits in a little papier mâché egg shaped basket which I've hand painted in shades of cream and softest spring green. A little velvet cushion nestles inside, and I have decorated the outside of the basket with pastel coloured velvet roses, forget me nots, hydrangea and pansies, so soft and pretty! Cara herself wears a dress of embroidered cotton netting tied at the waist with pink silk ribbon, and a pink silk bow on her head crowned with a seafoam velvet forget me not. The flowers are sprinkled with aurora borealis Swarovski crystals, sparkling like dewdrops:)
I've given Cara a little pale blue blown glass egg to hold in her wired arms.
