I'm very pleased to introduce you to,a very special and luxurious bear named 'The Kiss', her name inspired from the fabulous painting The Kiss (Lovers) which was painted by the Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt between 1907 and 1908, the highpoint of his "Golden Period", when he painted a number of works in a similar gilded style.

She has a specially printed and golden hand painted 'Bear Belly' which I have created from 100 % cotton fabric. This 'Bear Belly' is unique to this bear and has highlighted golden acrylic paint which I have carefully painted onto the print, which catches the light as the bear moves. This has been sewn into the fabric of the bear and then gently airbrushed with brown ochre acrylic along the edges to blend in beautifully with the faux fur.

This fur is so luxurious and changes shade with every glance or change of light. This is the 60mm variegated beige ombre peacock faux fur and also super long and medium white faux fur and has been a joy to model.

This beautiful Artist Bear has been a labour of love spanning several days. I really wanted to sculpt her carefully and really bring to life. Every part of her is created from new patterns designed to bring out something completely new.
Her head has been carefully scissor sculpted over many hours and then gently shaded using acrylic paints to accent shadows and give her personality and life.

She is fully cotterpin jointed and filled with dense polyester filling for extra weight.
When standing She is approx 15 inches high and when sat, 11 inches in height.
She has pretty old gold faux cashmere ear and foot pads.
She has a fabric 'carolsbears' satin ribbon in Royal Blue and gold lettering, sewn into her leg.

She has 16mm amber glass eyes and 18mm black eyelids with pale blue felt accents.

She will arrive at her new home, carefully wrapped in a strong box, with her 'carolsbears' certificate of authenticity.

Bears of Bath has just won 1st prize in the Miniature Undressed Section of the British Bear Artists Award 2011
