Berne Bear

Berne is such a darlin'.
He was made with the two most beautiful
honey tan and cream in color mohair.
His mouth is stitched,
and his nose is needle felted wool.
Berne's eyes are premium black glass
with leather lace lids.
with hand pained accents throughout.
His paw pads are soft leather,
which I needle sculpted and hand painted.
I also gave Berne claws which I made from a
modeling clay with a porcelain finish.
Berne's legs have a slight bend at the knees.
He is five way jointed, with cotterpins,
hardboard and metal washers.
He is also is firmly filled with polyfiber and has
bb's in his bottom for added weight.

My Information:
My bears are handmade and designed by myself. I use mohair, german glass eyes and ultra suede or wool felt. My latest design is the open mouth bear with a polymer resin mouth insert. Some bears have the composition nose too. They are filled with polyester fibre and Copper pellets
for added weight. They are jointed with washer and lock-nut joints. Sizes vary from 9-22 inches. My bears are also accented with air-brushed or hand painted details, which make them a bit different from the traditional bears. My attempt is to make the bear realistic, but with a few artistic privileges.
