Lucien is made of a sparse Schulte German mohair that I hand dyed and hand shaded. He is 7" tall and is cotter-pin jointed for a vintage feel. Lucien is wearing an antiqued copper chain with a vintage brass bell. He has glass eyes, and his nose and mouth are embroidered with pearl cotton thread. He is stuffed with excelsior and cotton batting. He has steel shot in his tummy to give him a nice weight. He has a whimsical, primitive design.
Lucien comes with his own tiny shrink art tag sewn onto his back and a signed, laminated paper tag.
Lucien is a collectible and is not a toy suitable for small children.

Welcome! My Ellifolks critters have a whimsical, primitive look. I give them much attention to detail including hand shading and coloring, scissor-sculpting, and draped and stitched accessories.
Animals are some of my favorite subjects. I turn my drawings into three-dimensional fiber critters. Designing the pattern is like piecing a puzzle and finally getting everything to work right together. I love working with fine mohair, wool, and other natural fibers.
My critters are handmade by me with much care and attention to detail using natural materials such as beautiful mohairs and 100% wools. They are hand shaded and gently aged. Many are hand dyed.
All Ellifolks critters come from a smoke-free environment.
